A Call for Hope
These days it seems like what we really need is Hope. But what are we as people going to do to get the hopeful future we want? Because as we do nothing everything is getting worst. It doesn’t matter what color you are… as long as we let the fear control us we will keep losing any hope we have left. No wonder we are stressed out and feel so alone all the time.
How are we supposed to make the people in charge really listen?
It has been said that a large protest/march on Washington would be a start. However, to make them really listen and for us to be taken seriously “WE the people” have to stop fighting amongst ourselves so that we could finally have the numbers to really be heard.
It is time to tell our “governmental parent”, the one that looks at All of us like some belligerent teenager, that we have had enough. Enough of being told what to do and being lied to constantly by an entity that should be answering to us. YOU must take back the power that is NOW and always has been OURS. It seems every time we are ALL asking questions of our government something major happens to divide us once again. Apparently they don’t want to answer any of our questions. So, why are we still allowing them to tell us what to do, what to think and who to like. We put our trust in people who lie to us, yet follow like sheep when they tell us who to fear or hate.
Hate, anger, and fear are easy. Maybe we have just gotten to lazy to do things the hard way even though it may be better for us in the long run.
Compassion, forgiveness, understanding, hope and love are far harder for us to spread when it feels as though the whole world, or maybe just the neighbor, is out to get us.
So, why not just fall back on narcissism? If we think only of ourselves and only do what benefits us… nothing will go wrong….Right?
People make mistakes. All people. No one gets through life without thinking about having handled some situation badly.
Right now is our time to stop and think about the pain we are only causing ourselves simply because we refuse to say- “we are different and that is ok” or “Maybe our differences are a good thing”. Honestly if we all thought the same way look at all the things we wouldn’t have. Special minds come up with the most amazing things.. Technology, art, the written word. People like Da vinci, Mozart, Monet, Shakespeare and countless others would never have had a chance.
It is time for our rally cry……. A rally for hope and peace. Where the only race that truly matters is the human race.
Let us show the generations that have come before us that we can learn from the mistakes of old.
Let them know that we can make “the dream” come true. The dream where we are hand in hand; different colors, backgrounds, and religions all just pushing for the best for ALL of us.
I am wiccan and I have friends of many other religions- Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Spiritualists, Atheists, and Satanist. They are all still my friends. I don’t tell them they are wrong and they don’t tell me I’m wrong.
With all the things humans have achieved, why is it we still don’t understand that -Different does not mean bad. It only means different.
NOW is the time to tell the government, who refuses to listen, that we are united in our anger….. Our anger at being bullied and pitted against one another to fit the government agenda. And angry at the lose of life continually perpetuated by a government that Wants us segregated, in the dark, afraid and fighting anyone BUT our own “governmental jailers”.
We are Pissed and I believe it is finally time to let them know we will not tolerate it any longer.
My brothers, My sisters, everyone who wants to leave something better for the future, everyone who wants to stop being afraid- JOIN me in raising our voices in protest of the government separating us by race, job, gender, and religion.
Maybe it is time to be brave enough to take a page from the book of our “treasonous” for fathers. They were considered traitors, committing treason for simply revolting against a government they didn’t believe in…. We have the right to do the same if we don’t believe our government has our best interests in mind. From what I am seeing lots of us don’t believe it does.
Everyone is different so however you choose to voice your anger and unrest is up to you, however I beg you all to please remember Martin Luther King Jr’s words:
“In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggles on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.”
Be brave my friends. We have a voice and an obligation to make it heard.
Let us make our voice so loud it is deafening and unable to ignore.
If it doesn’t work at first and we are still ignored- WE come back and speak even louder.
This is my call for hope.
My call for the voice we have lost.
