Here we sit in a nation of divided thought. With furloughed brow of freedoms fought.

If we continued in this path, we will only die upon our own staff.

Can we change our destructive ways, or will we change for what we crave.

Our history strewn with struggle and strife. As we have muddled through plundering life.

Will we ever learn? Or shall we just continue to yearn?

Our flag used to inspire change and desire. But now it seems to cause us to be in a quagmire.

Our stars and stripes won’t be forever. If we don’t change and endeavor.

Monumental Hatred

Lately on all the media services we have been bombarded by visions and videos of groups sharing hatred of some sort or another.

This is not only troubling, but depressing to see so many getting violent or injuring and killing over difference in opinions or views.

Many throughout the world watching this probably don’t understand why people in America are doing this. Doesn’t the USA boost about how free it is? Don’t they say it’s the great melting pot of peoples? Well yes, they have been saying this for many years. But it doesn’t mean its true.

Why is this happening lately, and so prominent in the news?

……..As I am typing this I hear the news. A 225 year old statue of Christopher Columbus is destroyed in Baltimore, MD. I will get back to this…….. The vandals put this quote at the site.

“Christopher Columbus symbolizes the initial invasion of European capitalism into the Western Hemisphere. Columbus initiated a centuries-old wave of terrorism, murder, genocide, rape, slavery, ecological degradation and capitalist exploitation of labor in the Americas. That Columbian wave of destruction continues on the backs of Indigenous, African-American and brown people.”

So, I had a thought, but now it has been greatly lost in anger, and sadness. People destroying historical sites is killing me. This is like having ISIS right here in our country. I will come back to this blog in a bit…

Well. After all is said and done, all we see are these uneducated people and groups basically trying to justify their violence and destruction on ignorance and lack of historical pride.

The only thing that comes to mind over and over again is….

“Would there be any outrage if someone pulled down the Statue of Liberty? Or is it fair to say we are past that point already?

As a Veteran of the US Air Force, and Desert Storm/Desert Shield, I wonder what did I fight to protect.

Why is Facebook like a medical problem?

Lately, I have noticed that looking at Facebook can really, and truly effect my moods. So, we have to consider this practice a medical issue. As it can be contagious, and not always good for overall health.

So with that said, I have figured out a way to explain this problem and make it humorous.

Facebook user opinions are like buttholes.

Some peoples opinions are very open to many influences. So you could fly a 757 up their butt, and it would be accepted freely.

The medium opinion user can be explained as a butthole with spasms. It just is open to the ebb and flow of others opinions. But, it can spew as well as accept foreign objects, and both are covered in carp.

Then there is the close minded user. They are set in their ways and no matter what they won’t change. So this is best explained as a close shut tight butthole. You couldn’t get a molecule up their butt, even if you used the force of a nuclear explosion to try to force in this outside object.

Then they is a wide open user. This person takes in everything, has no real opinion, or stance. This is best visualized as a bunghole that you could fly the space shuttle booster stage tank into, and still have room to spare.

So my best advise I can give to you is?
Don’t take Facebook for more than sharing you family photos with. Type some emails, and move back to a more normal life.

Otherwise your just going to be someone’s bunghole problem. And they’re just looking for a hammer and a cork.
I hope that helps ! 😀

Have you thought about Veterans?

Let’s start right off, just in case you just want to flip to the next site, I am a “Desert Storm Veteran” 1990-1991.  I want to explain what I have seen so far, and why I am disappointed in what I see.

I am now 54, I spent 10 years in the United States Air Force, and was proud to have been an active member of the service, and in service to my country, until Present Clinton downsized the military by 800,000 members in 1992. In 1992, I was angry, disappointed and lost. I was basically fired, or laid off, with no intention to leave the service before my 20 yrs.

I was given pamphlets, and told good luck. Well, wasn’t that nice. No job searches, no resume classes, no unemployment (in the state of California), and I had to find a job quick, a place to live, and acclimate to civilian life. Oh, ya I forgot, 10 days before I was due to leave the service my Gallbladder was removed due to massive attacks.

I was able to find work, but I will say it took a lot to understand the outside world again, and I was ticked off for about a year.

Now years later, all I see is veterans, like myself, and on the news, getting little to nothing from the government that ask them to do what ever they were told, but in the end gave us zip.

People don’t realize, that once you signed on the dotted line, and go into service, on that day you loose most of your constitutional rights. It’s not until we get out, we realize, how precious those rights are, and what we really volunteered to defend.

Now with the current political atmosphere, veterans are just used as cannon fodder, pawns, activism faces, and news pieces. But do people realize that the nations veterans really need their help.  No, I mean really ! We don’t want money, or a whole lot of recognition, we need your voices, your consideration, and most of all, a bit of respect.

Let me explain a bit more.

I recently started accessing my local Veterans clinic here in Oxnard, California. It was recently completed. I never thought I would need the VA, nor did I think of my self as wanting, or needing assistance from my government. But, getting older, medical cost climbing, I figured I needed all the help I could find.

Well, I am still trying to get my ID card, because the computer system seems to break down a bunch, but I was allowed to start my medical services. It’s not a busy place yet, so I figured why not.

Well, the soonest appointment was 37 days out, and I would have to come in 2 weeks before that for blood work. Well that was disappointing, I get service like this already, and I pay for a Primary care doctor through my wife’s plan. Thanks, partly to our lovely Obamacare, and it’s so called cheaper rates, and competition.

The odd thing is, I currently drive people to appointments that are on medicare, and medical in the company I work for. And all these people can get appointments in days of their needs. But a veteran waits weeks, or months. Wow, that’s really odd isn’t it.

Like I said I am a proud member of Desert Storm, and believe me, when we got home, there was no fan fair. It was back to work. I won’t even explain how my first wife felt when I got back. Needless to say, she was pissed off I was gone over 6 months. In ten years of service , I was home 6 years.

So, now today, I see a message from the leadership of the Desert Storm Memorial Group.

A letter from Scott Stump, President of the National Desert Storm War Memorial Association…..
2 August 2016

Dear Friends & Supporters,

It’s very hard to believe that we are into the 26th Anniversary of the invasion of Kuwait!

The 25th Anniversary year absolutely flew by. It was very rewarding and very disappointing at the same time. I know how very frustrating to see the lack of interest and indifference displayed by the media, the general public, and even our government regarding the 25th Anniversary, and our mission to build the memorial, was for myself and for you!! However, the good news is that we commemorated the 25th anniversary in a huge way by having tremendous participation in the Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC. It was humbling and an honor watching 500 Desert Storm Veterans and 15 Coalition Country Representatives, the largest gathering since the 1991 victory parade, march down Constitution Avenue and make a tremendous and lasting impact on the crowd, reminding them that WE ARE STILL HERE!

With that being said, we desperately need your help!! Many of you approached me in Washington, DC and pledged your help with the Desert Storm Memorial effort. Whatever way you can help we need it now! When I started this journey back in December of 2010, I knew that we had a limited window of opportunity to get this done or Operation Desert Storm and all who served and died would be forgotten.

I am afraid that my premonition has come true. The effort to build a Global War on Terror Memorial is in the works. We recognize the vital future need for this memorial, and we support the cause 100%. However, since we have NOT raised the needed money for our own memorial, we run the risk of being in a competitive fundraising situation with a group of 3 million veterans and a 15- year war that is fresh on everyone’s minds!!

Our time is NOW! This is YOUR memorial! I urge all of you to PLEASE help us get this done so that Operation Desert Storm is not forever forgotten!

It’s up to all of us to make it happen!

Scott C. Stump”

Wow, we couldn’t even get enough people to give us a memorial to dedicate to all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice during Desert Storm.

Wow, is this what the people of our country really think us us, or other vets?  I am really wondering what is important any more. Should I be worried about 2 presidential candidates that I would even let in my own home, because they are both totally clueless, and classless, (pardon my language) ASSHOLES!

So, could you all do me a favor?  Could you bug your State representatives, congressmen and senators. And while your at in, when ever your see a vet, wearing a hat, or coat, or shirt. Go up to them and shake their hand, smile and say thank you, thanks for your service, or ask them if they could use a hand doing something.

Really, it doesn’t take much just to show some appreciation, and say thank you.

Just remember, the vets didn’t screw up the government, or politics, or the laws. The people did. We just allowed you the protection, to mess it up they way you all wanted.

Thank you….and your welcome.

U.S.S. Midway CV-41 San Diego

A visit to the Midway is well worth a trip. To see a historic ship in her grandeur. There maybe bigger ships, or technological ships. But to see what our great country built, with the technology at hand, and make it so powerful, is just inspiring.

These photos I took on my visit. Please feel free to share, download, and pass on the link to whatever websites you like. Also feel free to comment. Makes me know the photos are appreciated. I am looking at getting a better camera eventually.

FiFi B-29 Superfortress

On March 8, 2015, I had the pleasure and opportunity to view FiFI the B-29, as she was touring the nation showing off how well this B-29 was restored. Photos were taken at the Camarillo Aircraft Museum, Camarillo, Ca.

Google Map for Museum

This was my first experience to see a functioning, restored Bomber of years gone by.I was not disappointed in the experience to see this majestic lady land, taxi, and park right in front of me. The Sound was awesome. To imagine a squadron of these in their day flying off to do a mission must have been an experience.

I am a bit of an amateur photographer. I like to show off some of my shots. So I thought I would share with all of you.  I will also link a YouTube video of FiFi so you know what she sounds like.  Thanks for viewing and please feel free to share all you like.

If you get a chance to visit the Camarillo, Ca. Air Museum, I highly suggest you stop by.

What does our Country Want?

Well, the title of this blog says it all. Doesn’t it?

Of course currently here in the good ole USA, we are being tugged in all directions.  Especially during a pre-election time. Weather you live in the US, or outside of it, we all know Americans are just so misunderstood…  Or , are they really?

As of this year of 2016, we only seem to have 2 poor choices for the up coming presidential elections.  But, we here in the US, know this feeling all to well.  We had the same problem 4 years ago, and 8 years ago. But even before that, we always seem to say, we are choosing the lesser of two evils.

Why is that? Well, let’s be honest, it’s because Americans think they are the only ones on the planet with these dramatic, heart pumping issues.  Why? Because the average american person in our country hasn’t left , or visited, or lived in another country.

So, with this lack of knowledge, or true understanding of world events, the average person is basically ignorant of how others live throughout the world. So, all these other countries are rosier than ours when it comes to certain ideas, events, or allowances.

What can be done? Well, given that I am now in my 50’s, and I have seen and traveled in many countries, states within my own country, and I have a good education of my countries history. Also fairly knowledgeable of world affairs as well. My answer is……… I don’t have a fricken clue.

Americans are no longer interested in real education. We are publicly educated on average. Those that actually get so called, Private, or higher education, basically are indoctrinated into the following or beliefs of that higher institution.  So, my observations show me.

Hence why, most college students flow one direction or the other politically. The days of Americans being educated to be FREE thinkers has been gone a very long time. If it ever existed at all.  I really think, it was made up to begin with…. Probably created for some political gain from years gone by.

Now, many are probably asking, I wonder how this guy really feels about the choices of this years presidential election. Well, I can tell you in one word.

NUMB !!!!!

I am not affiliated with any party. I don’t see any difference any longer.

What I see is the American people put representatives in office, and the these reps go on their merry way pushing their own agendas, ideas, and pet projects. They don’t come back to ask the people they represent, how they would feel, or vote on a certain subject. No town hall meetings advertised, no online polls, no nothing.

I am sure other countries have the same issues.

Our news media is now so transparent on what they stand for it’s almost mind-numbing to watch. I actually watch BBC America, because leave it to the Brits to easily show haw corrupt and confused the Americas are on any subject. I am sure they would like to give their outlook of our news media, but their’s is just about as bad as ours…. It’s laughable, if it wasn’t so true.

So, truly what do the Americans have as a choice for Commander and Chief this year of 2016?

Hillary Clinton – a devout establishment person, that has shown us she can lie , cheat and almost down right steal. And I am sure there’s some stealing in there somewhere. Untrustworthy with state secrets, no concern for world affairs really, unless it benefits her foundation (Her wallet).

Donald Trump – A business man, who as admitted to using the system to his, and his companies advantage on several occasions. Has no vision of his own really.. Just what his advisers tell him to say. Because every time this guy opens his mouth its just gibberish. Basically he a blowhard head piece with a bad hair style. He could normally get elected for dog catcher. But, because he’s the normal pissed off american, he is popular with many.  Just because we are all pissed off at something.

So, what should the rest of us do?  Well we can look for more educated, commonsense electable people out there, outside of our parties.

But, what will we really do.  We will wait until the dust settles, bitch about whom we don’t like and ignore them for 4 more years and hope the next bunch is better.

Yup, so that about covers it all…..

Oh, except for the title question….. What does our county want?

We may never really know or understand. Many, no one really wants to……

Thank you for reading.

A Call for Hope

A Call for Hope

Kimmy Hudson

These days it seems like what we really need is Hope. But what are we as people going to do to get the hopeful future we want? Because as we do nothing everything is getting worst. It doesn’t matter what color you are… as long as we let the fear control us we will keep losing any hope we have left. No wonder we are stressed out and feel so alone all the time.

How are we supposed to make the people in charge really listen?

It has been said that a large protest/march on Washington would be a start. However, to make them really listen and for us to be taken seriously “WE the people” have to stop fighting amongst ourselves so that we could finally have the numbers to really be heard.

It is time to tell our “governmental parent”, the one that looks at All of us like some belligerent teenager, that we have had enough. Enough of being told what to do and being lied to constantly by an entity that should be answering to us. YOU must take back the power that is NOW and always has been OURS. It seems every time we are ALL asking questions of our government something major happens to divide us once again. Apparently they don’t want to answer any of our questions.  So, why are we still allowing them to tell us what to do, what to think and who to like. We put our trust in people who lie to us, yet follow like sheep when they tell us who to fear or hate.

Hate, anger, and fear are easy. Maybe we have just gotten to lazy to do things the hard way even though it may be better for us in the long run.

Compassion, forgiveness, understanding, hope and love are far harder for us to spread when it feels as though the whole world, or maybe just the neighbor, is out to get us.

So, why not just fall back on narcissism? If we think only of ourselves and only do what benefits us… nothing will go wrong….Right?

People make mistakes. All people. No one gets through life without thinking about having handled some situation badly.

Right now is our time to stop and think about the pain we are only causing ourselves simply because we refuse to say- “we are different and that is ok” or “Maybe our differences are a good thing”. Honestly if we all thought the same way look at all the things we wouldn’t have. Special minds come up with the most amazing things.. Technology, art, the written word. People like Da vinci, Mozart, Monet, Shakespeare and countless others would never have had a chance.

It is time for our rally cry……. A rally for hope and peace. Where the only race that truly matters is the human race.

Let us show the generations that have come before us that we can learn from the mistakes of old.

Let them know that we can make “the dream” come true. The dream where we are hand in hand; different colors, backgrounds, and religions all just pushing for the best for ALL of us.

I am wiccan and I have friends of many other religions- Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Spiritualists, Atheists, and Satanist. They are all still my friends. I don’t tell them they are wrong and they don’t tell me I’m wrong.

With all the things humans have achieved, why is it we still don’t understand that -Different does not mean bad. It only means different.

NOW is the time to tell the government, who refuses to listen, that we are united in our anger….. Our anger at being bullied and pitted against one another to fit the government agenda. And angry at the lose of life continually perpetuated by a government that Wants us segregated, in the dark, afraid and fighting anyone BUT our own “governmental jailers”.

We are Pissed and I believe it is finally time to let them know we will not tolerate it any longer.

My brothers, My sisters, everyone who wants to leave something better for the future, everyone who wants to stop being afraid- JOIN me in raising our voices in protest of the government separating us by race, job, gender, and religion.

Maybe it is time to be brave enough to take a page from the book of our “treasonous” for fathers. They were considered traitors, committing treason for simply revolting against a government they didn’t believe in…. We have the right to do the same if we don’t believe our government has our best interests in mind.     From what I am seeing lots of us don’t believe it does.

Everyone is different so however you choose to voice your anger and unrest is up to you, however I beg you all to please remember Martin Luther King Jr’s words:

“In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggles on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.”

Be brave my friends. We have a voice and an obligation to make it heard.

Let us make our voice so loud it is deafening and unable to ignore.

If it doesn’t work at first and we are still ignored- WE come back and speak even louder.

This is my call for hope.

My call for the voice we have lost.
